I really can't believe it! All of a sudden for the past three days, Lucy has been getting up. She gets up for a few minutes when we go out every 2 hours and tell her to. I think she is getting better. Also, for some other news:
This is my new Nubian, Martha. She has a sister named Mary.
This is my new 2 year old milk goat, my first Alpine! I got her Saturday from Vicksburg. She is getting used to the place. She is kind of shy, but very sweet! And gives wonderful milk!
I also got another younger Alpine, Salina, but she is at another farm at the moment. She is also beautiful!

Lucy is now getting up 3 to 5 times per day! This is really a miracle as far as I'm concerned! My Sweet Lord knows how special this Nubian Lady is. She is really trying hard to overcome her disability. Yesterday I was able to get her daughter, Lucille, to come back to the farm after visiting her "goat baby daddy". :) Hopefully we will see new Nubians in about 4 months. Yeah! The mosquitoes were horrible yesterday as we have gone through two hurricanes over the past two weeks. However, this morning we woke to crisp, cool weather, and the mosquitoes were gone! I have had to worm the ladies today. They all pretty much had infestations. I have ordered some herbal remedies, but it has not come in yet. I'll let you know how that works out.
The former owner of Lizzie failed to inform you that she earned her first official leg toward becoming a permanent champion as a yearling first freshener. Thought that might be important if you ever decided to show her. She not only milks; she shows well too!
